Differing Text Types

Children in LKS2 classrooms need plenty of access to different types of texts so they can become truly confident readers, and this also provides a wonderful model for children’s own writing. We recommend primary schools offer books with myths and legends, letter and diary styles, historical settings, action-driven narratives, stories written in rhyming couplets, picture books, poetry and non-fiction.
