Little Wandle SEND Programme

Little Wandle SEND is a complete programme that mirrors the main Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised phonics programme but with adaptations and support in place that make it possible for all schools, Special Schools and providers to meet the needs of all their learners.

It has been created to help children learn to read with the right level of challenge for each child and use a graduated approach if needed.

Little Wandle SEND has been trialled in special schools, bases and alternative provision with children with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities so that we can be sure that it provides the support needed to develop language alongside teaching word reading.
