Little Wandle Reading Scheme

Big Cat Phonics for Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised books and resources support the DfE-Validated Little Wandle Systematic Synthetic Phonics Teaching Programme developed in collaboration with two English Hubs, Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School.

The programme is comprised of over 250 fully decodable, beautifully produced reading books from Big Cat Phonics for Little Wandle, which are perfectly matched to the progression of the SSP and joyful and engaging mnemonics, catchphrase cards, friezes, wall charts and teacher guides. Taken together these provide a consistent and highly effective approach to teaching phonics.

Little Wandle also offers a Rapid Catch Up programme for children aged 7+ and a SEND programme with adaptations and support in place that allow all schools, Special Schools and providers to meet the needs of all their learners.
