This is the final set of Phase 5 Essential Phonic Readers to cover the Essential Letters and Sounds SSP. A new non-fiction or fiction book is unlocked every teaching week, perfectly aligned with each week of Essential Letters and Sounds and Letters and Sounds (2007), allowing children to reinforce their phonics knowledge through reading within a controlled framework.
The pack of 66 books (six copies of each of the 11 titles) includes books levelled at Oxford Reading Level 6, Phase 5 for Year 1 children to read in Spring Term 1, Weeks 2-6 and Spring Term 2 Weeks 1–6.
Each title in this pack of books is fully decodable, in line with Essential Letters and Sounds, a DfE validated phonics programme.
Essential Phonic Readers are an ideal way for children to consolidate their phonics knowledge using books that are closely matched to learning in the classroom and familiar sounds learned systematically.
