Product Description

This unit is designed to meet the expectations of Unit 4B, Habitats, in the Science scheme, and a number of components of Sc2 Life Processes and Living Things,  and Sc1 Science enquiry of the National Curriculum.

During the unit, children will learn to make links between life processes in familar animals and plants, and the environments in which they are found (Sc2:1C); to make and use keys (Sc2:4A); how local animals and plants can be identified and assigned to groups (Sc2:4B); about ways in which living things and the environment need protection (Sc2:5a); about how different habitats are suited to their environment (Sc2:5c); to use food chains feeding relationships in a habitat (Sc2:5D); about how nearly all food chains start with a green plant (Sc2:5E).
