Set during the Nazi occupation in the Ukraine, a football match was set up between Dynamo Kiev’s players and a German side. Kiev won and kept winning against the German teams. So the half-starved Dynamo Kiev players were told they were to play an international-calibre German side and if they didn’t let the opposition win, they were under threat of execution.
