The titles in Our Local Environment collection have been chosen to encourage children to develop observational skills, and to begin to explore and discover geographical features of their own environment. As they explore the world on their doorsteps, they will begin to understand different aspects of their own community, and other communities, and how places and people are affected by environmental factors.
