Book Bands for Guided Reading Levels 2-6
Our Book Bands for Guided Reading resources offer the very best children’s literature with a range of reading abilities and interests across KS2 and provide the basis for guided, shared and group reading. This collection offers a range of books which can be used to improve children’s reading confidence and widen reading experiences at Book Band Level 2 (Red) to 6 (Orange). These books have been chosen to a ‘best-fit’ level within each ‘band’ as outlined in ‘Book Bands for Guided Reading’ (Bickler et al, Institute of Education, University of London) and will complement the existing selection of ‘banded’ books in your school.
