Featured Collection: ‘One Two Buckle My Shoe’

This post is the first of an extended series, which features one of our best selling collections,
with January’s focus being on the ‘One Two Buckle My Shoe’ Collection.

This early years book collection familiarises children with an assortment of popular and new songs, poems and rhymes, designed to broaden and develop their language and listening skills, whilst encouraging the participation in group activities.

Our collection features lots of all time favourites such as Mother Goose and There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, whose story has really been enhanced with humorous illustrations and finger holes.

We are are really proud of this collection and were particularly pleased to  get such a positive review from Teach Nursery who said:

“This is a lovely, well-thought-out selection of 10 books, all with a focus on nursery rhymes, rhyming sound stories and familiar action songs. The larger ( but not too large) format of the This Old Man, Ten fat Sausages and There Was an Old Woman.. books make them ideal for sharing with groups of children without all the storage issue of ‘big books’.

The set also includes some beautiful modern versions of traditional rhymes and songs. We particularly loved Axel Scheffler’s Mother Goose’s Playtime Rhymes and Julia Donaldson and Nick Sharratt’s Wriggle and Roar.

At £52 for the set, we felt this would be a really good value addition to any book corner or parent sharing library. Money definitely well spent!”

If any of our readers have shared this collection with their pupils, we’d love to know how you’ve got on! Just let us know below….
